The Traumatropism Collection was created and painted during the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020. These 9 mini oil paintings are inspired by my time ski training in the Alps with James during the 2020/21 winter.
I've named these paintings the Traumatropism Collection as traumatropism ‘reminds us that nature is stronger and more resilient than we could ever imagine, metaphorically it tells us that harsh setbacks need not end our progress.' As we come cautiously ease out of lockdown, I wanted to create a collection that acknowledges the collective trauma we've experienced in the past few months, and also give hope that we will survive, and in time, thrive again.
I've named each mini oil painting according to the emotion I felt, or action I was taking at that moment in time, in order to help you imagine yourself in the exact same spot.
All paintings are created with high quality, professional materials.
