‘Alpine Glory’ (oil painting) captures the serene beauty of the snowy alpine forest in the Swiss Alps. I have used oil paints to create a sense of depth and dimension, allowing the viewer to feel as though they are standing in the middle of the forest themselves. The snow covered trees, covered in a blanket of snow, are the focal point of the painting, with the blue sky acting as a natural frame for the scene. The blue sky is a crisp and clear, and the I used delicate brushstrokes to create the impression of wispy clouds. The play of light on the snow and trees is gives the painting a sense of realism. The Respite Collection is a stunning collection of 7 oil paintings that captures the breathtaking beauty of the majestic mountains in the Alps. Inspiration for these paintings was drawn from the picturesque Mont Blanc in France and the charming Zermatt in Switzerland, to name just a few. These paintings were created during the my convalescence from a broken leg, and the collection is named after this journey. The mountains depicted in these paintings are not only visually striking, but they also possess a soothing and rejuvenating energy that can nourish both the body and mind. The Respite Collection is the perfect way to bring a piece of the mountains into your home and add a touch of serenity to your space.

WHY THE MOUNTAIN OBSESSION?
For me they are the ultimate. The ultimate strength; the ultimate height; the ultimate power. When standing on top of them, they give a sense of perspective that’s hard to find anywhere else in the world. When skiing down then I get a thrill and sense of shared joy and fun that I don’t get anywhere else in the world. And when I’m at the bottom looking up, they give such a solid sense of reassurance. I’m the happiest I ever am in the world.
And I want to share this. I want to share the benefits of the mountings with more and more people. I tried to capture those feelings and express them through my paint. I want to give you something different; something fun and something joyful.
