‘Alpine Grandeur’ (oil painting) captures the raw beauty of a glacier in all its monochromatic glory. I used various combinations of greys to create a sense of depth and dimension, allowing the viewer to feel as though they are standing in front of the glacier themselves. The glacier, with its rugged and jagged surface, is the focal point of the painting, with the overcast sky providing a natural frame for the scene. A touch of blue gives the glacier a sense of depth and realism, and the overcast sky creates a sense of drama to the scene and adds to the sense of the wild and untamed nature of the glacier.

The Respite Collection is a stunning collection of 7 oil paintings that captures the breathtaking beauty of the majestic mountains in the Alps. Inspiration for these paintings was drawn from the picturesque Mont Blanc in France and the charming Zermatt in Switzerland, to name just a few. These paintings were created during the my convalescence from a broken leg, and the collection is named after this journey. The mountains depicted in these paintings are not only visually striking, but they also possess a soothing and rejuvenating energy that can nourish both the body and mind. The Respite Collection is the perfect way to bring a piece of the mountains into your home and add a touch of serenity to your space.

WHY THE MOUNTAIN OBSESSION?
For me they are the ultimate. The ultimate strength; the ultimate height; the ultimate power. When standing on top of them, they give a sense of perspective that’s hard to find anywhere else in the world. When skiing down then I get a thrill and sense of shared joy and fun that I don’t get anywhere else in the world. And when I’m at the bottom looking up, they give such a solid sense of reassurance. I’m the happiest I ever am in the world.
And I want to share this. I want to share the benefits of the mountings with more and more people. I tried to capture those feelings and express them through my paint. I want to give you something different; something fun and something joyful.
