This is a fine art print of the original oil painting. The iconic Mont Gelé mountain peak stands over 3,000 metres high in Verbier in the Four Valleys in Switzerland. This incredible peak soars above the ski pistes and offers fantastic off piste skiing for those who are brave enough to try! The mountain dominates the square canvas, and the gentle shades of blue indicate the rolling snow fields towards the valley. The rocks and top of the mountain were painted using a palette knife which creates a textured effect: the paint is built up in a more 3D manner and brings the mountain to life. The print captures this perfectly: every brushstroke and detail of texture is gorgeously shown.
